This week we start out with a large event and end with an important one. A lot of the Salesforce Community Groups have been remaining active and continually hosting virtual events, which we all appreciate! So sit back, open up your calendars and let’s get planning!
Tuesday, June 9th
This year’s Higher Ed Summitvirtual event will be co-hosted with Indiana University on Tuesday, June 9th. There will be over 40 sessions focused on the future of education, over 2,500 members of the Salesforce education community and the winners of the Summit Awards will be announced. Additionally, big name speakers such as Arianna Huffington, Trevor Noah, Soledad O’Brien and Samatha Power will be giving talks and presentations!
If your business isn’t related to the education field, then consider attending the Austin, TX Women in Tech Group event. They are hosting Jennifer Roberts-Stutzreim for COVID-19 Job Searching Tips. Jennifer is a senior global consultant and will mainly go over tips for your resume and mental health. Even if you aren’t looking for a new job, it’s important to keep your resume up to date and be in sync with your mental health, especially with the current global events.
Wednesday, June 10th
On Wednesday, the Women in Tech Group of Sacramento, CA are hosting A Casual Conversation with the Sacramento WIT Group. The title of this event says it all. Seriously, they just want to talk and eat lunch with you, and honestly, we need that sometimes! Their goal is to help you engage with others in the Salesforce community, talk about projects you are working on and any challenges or wins this week. Sounds nice, right?
Maybe you want to use your lunch time to learn instead. The San Francisco, CA Nonprofit Group is hosting Gina Marques, the CRM Manager of Ownback for Data Strategies to Minimize User Inflicted Data Loss. Gina is going to talk about data protection strategies and how to avoid accidents. Additionally, attendees will receive a $20 food gift card, so hey free lunch!
Thursday, June 11th
If you couldn’t make it on June 10th, luckily for you the Milwaukee, MI Admin Group are hosting their own meeting with OwnBackup on Thursday, June 11th. OwnBackup will focus on the “7 Steps to Recovering Lost Data Using Salesforce Weekly Export” for this event. Additionally if you are interested in learning more about OwnBackup products, you can get a lunch e-gift card.
In the last few weeks, businesses have been slowly able to open up. If you have any questions, worries or concerns about opening your business to the public, the event on June 11th 5 Topics to Consider Post COVID-19 is here to help. They will be covering 5 key merchandising topics and diving into business manager functionalities. Their goal is to help you address physically opening up your store, marketing promotions and updating your marketing campaigns.
Friday, June 12th
Finally rounding out the week on June 12th is personally what I think is the most important event. Salesforce Release Readiness will be previewing their Summer 2020 releases. On Friday, the Developer Preview will take place from 9am to 10:15am (PDT) and then the Admin Preview will be from 11:15am to 12:30pm (PDT). If you have any questions and are joining them live, make sure to use the hashtag #salesforcelive to get those questions answered! This event continues on to the next week, so make sure to read next week’s blog to find out when the other announcements will take place!
