This week may look short, but all of these events are definitely not short. In fact, it’s just the opposite. So sit back, open up your calendars, and let’s get planning!
We are starting this week strong with an event that is 10 days long!! You read that right… a 10 day long event! The 5th Annual Great Leadership Reset is a gathering of Fortune 500 CEOs, business educators, and business leaders and is kicking off on Tuesday, October 19th. This virtual event will focus on teaching viewers about designing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to prepare for the future, make a case for employee well-being, and how the next generation of leaders are developing more compassionate ways of working. There will be over 40 sessions, with each day focusing on a set of topics. It is free to register, however that will only get you 48 hours access. You will have to pay if you want to attend all 10 days, so definitely think this one over, because it isn’t cheap. Additionally, they haven’t announced start or end times for the sessions, so I don’t know if it’s a half day of events or a full day, but regardless you will need to mark your calendars for this one!
Moving on to Thursday, October 21st, we are starting the day at 11am (PST) with Food for Growth: Providers Session. In this hour-long virtual session, you will hear from UCM Digital Health, a healthcare provider, on how they leveraged “digital solutions to drive patient engagement, enhance access, and deliver exceptional virtual care.” They will talk about that for the first 20 minutes, then move on to a demo, and then wrap up the session with a Q&A session. As a bonus for attending, you’ll get a free lunch!
Then at 11:30am (PST) the Irvine, CA Salesforce WIT community group is hosting Maneuvering Through The Interview Process — A Recruiter’s Insight, which will also be virtual. The guest speaker, Lauren Piva, will focus on and help you identify 3 elements of loving your job. Lauren has been recruiting for 11 years, 5 of those years in the Salesforce space. If you want to attend, you need to be a part of this community group, and must RSVP. This session will be recorded and sent out to the group if you can’t make it.
Finally, we have not 1, not 2, but 3 Circle of Success events occurring this week that I’m just going to bunch together, seeing that they are similar. The Circle of Success: EDC Cohort Kick Off events are occurring on the 18th, 19th and 21st, specifically Fall ’21 Change Management, Fall ’21 Operating Model, and Winter ’21 Team Members. All of these webinars aim to provide you with resources, tools, best practices, and connections to develop and be successful in the above topics. All of the cohorts are several weeks long, meet bi-weekly, have workshops, as well as self-paced activities, and discussions with your peers who also participate in these sessions.
Recap
Last week the Google Cloud Next ’21 conference occurred over 3 days to talk about what’s new and occurring in the Google cloud. What were you excited to see or learn from Google about the future? We had another episode in the Skill Up on Slack series, focusing on Slack Etiquette and Productivity. Then the UN Global Compact hosted How to Advance Women’s Leadership in Climate Action to learn why women are disportionately affected, how to help advance women’s voices and leadership roles in STEM, and how you can overall support women-led climate solutions. Finally in True to the Core: IdeaExchange viewers got to meet the team working on the reimagined IdeaExchange, as well as get a glimpse at the newest features coming out soon. Tweet us @mkpartners and let us know what your favorite event was!
Also, make sure to let us know if you think there are any events worth mentioning and what event you are excited about this upcoming week. And, as always, we will see you in the cloud!
